Job description

Staff Product Maager
Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; Toronto, CA;
Full-time

Hybrid

$200,000 - $250,000 base salary + bonus + equity

A trailblazing AI technology company, leading the development of next-generation RISC-V CPUs and AI hardware platforms, is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the definition and lifecycle of chiplet-based products. This role is a unique opportunity to shape innovative AI systems from the ground up, translating deep technical insights into actionable product strategy across packaging, interconnect, and compute architecture.

This position is based out of Santa Clara, Austin, or Toronto, with a hybrid setup and flexibility within North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for chiplet-based AI hardware from early-stage concept through launch.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering to define and prioritize technical requirements across chiplet design, interconnects, and advanced packaging.

  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer discoveryโ€”including building hypothetical customer profiles where real data is limitedโ€”to guide product direction.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling product requirements that align with performance, scalability, and cost targets.

  • Work hands-on with engineering teams to ensure products meet specifications for power, performance, and manufacturability.

  • Drive early-stage exploration and research to shape 0-to-1 products in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

  • Partner with manufacturing, go-to-market, and leadership teams to guide product through the full development lifecycle.

  • Present strategy, trade-offs, and progress to stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in product management or technical roles in hardware development, with exposure to semiconductors, AI accelerators, or advanced packaging.

  • Strong analytical skills and a research-driven mindset, with the ability to work in ambiguity and build structure from scratch.

  • Comfort working on 0-to-1 products where customer demand may not yet existโ€”ability to define product needs proactively.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and executive stakeholders.

  • Understanding of semiconductor fundamentals, chiplet architectures, and interconnect protocols such as UCIe or PCIe.

  • Experience in AI, RISC-V, or open hardware ecosystems is a plus.

  • Previous hands-on engineering experience (AI, hardware, or embedded systems) highly desirable.
