THE WORK
As a Procurement Planner, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
• Design, develop, and implement logistics systems and processes to meet business requirements
• Analyze and optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes
• Develop and implement metrics and performance measures to track material and identify areas for improvement
• Identify and mitigate material-related risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions
• Assist engineering teams in meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets, contributing to successful project execution.
• Process RMA's working with OEMs, suppliers and vendors
• Monitor the full lifecycle of purchase requests-from initial requisition through purchase order issuance to final receipt-ensuring smooth, documented flow.
• Coordinate with vendors/suppliers are part obsolesces and work with requestor on suitable replacements.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience with specialized training commensurate with assignment
• 5+ years of experience in logistics engineering or a related field, with experience in procurement and logistics coordination
• Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
• Demonstrated ability to execute and peer review compliant and procurement packages
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and technologies
• Experience with logistics systems design, development, and implementation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems, such as Site Purchase Orders and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Ability to multi-task while balancing strategic priorities and recognizing when to escalate
• Experience with material tracking tools
Desired Skills:
• 8+ years of experience in procurement or a related field
• Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures and managing Purchase Orders in Procure to Pay (P2P)
• Experience with advanced procurement technologies, such as automation and robotics
• Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools
