What You'll Do
You'll play a critical role in helping Tricon secure profitable commercial projects by preparing accurate, competitive estimates from concept through bid submission.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare quantity take-offs using OST and QuickBid
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare RFIs and bid packages
- Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs
- Participate in bid strategy meetings
- Coordinate successful handoffs to Project Management
- Maintain complete estimating documentation
- Conduct post-project reviews to improve future estimating accuracy
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a seasoned estimator who enjoys solving complex challenges and takes pride in delivering accurate, competitive bids.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 5+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience
- Experience estimating:
- Commercial drywall
- Metal framing
- Acoustical ceilings
- Insulation
- Specialty wall and ceiling systems
- Experience bidding projects exceeding $10 million
- Strong blueprint reading and quantity take-off skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
