Job description

Location: Lowell, MA - Inpatient Treatment Program 

Schedule: Full-time 

Pay rate: $21.00/hour

The Billing Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Collecting, completing and forwarding all billing materials and insurance verifications to the billing office. 
  • Preparing and mailing insurance applications as necessary and maintain billing reports and logs.  
  • Building a strong and productive relationship with individual insurers in an effort to process denials and appeals in a timely fashion while reducing number of days in A/R.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school degree or GED 
  • Two years experience in office/clerical support, preferably in a healthcare setting preferred 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance systems preferred 
  • Working knowledge of all types of insurances and the different protocols preferred 
  • Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills  Â
