Job description

**Note: We are seeking candidates that live in South Florida full-time. This is not a remote position**

Overview

We are seeking a creative and client-focused Landscape Design Consultant who combines design expertise with sales ability. In this role, you will meet directly with clients, develop customized landscaping concepts, and guide projects from initial consultation through early execution to ensure design intent, scope, and budget alignment.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both visual design and client interaction, with strong earning potential tied to performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with residential and/or commercial clients to assess landscaping needs, preferences, and budget
  • Create compelling 2D and 3D landscape designs to help clients visualize their space
  • Develop design concepts using digital tools (e.g., real-time landscape software, Cool Studios, or similar platforms)
  • Present design ideas and revisions to clients in a clear and engaging way
  • Prepare detailed project quotes based on materials, labor, and scope
  • Close sales and manage client relationships throughout the design phase
  • Oversee project kickoff to ensure successful design implementation with the installation team
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in landscape design, sales, or related field
  • Proficiency in digital design tools (2D/3D visualization software)
  • Strong understanding of landscape design principles (planting, layout, hardscape concepts)
  • Expert knowledge of common South Florida plants
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset (commission-based environment)
What We Offer
  • High earning potential ($40K–$100K+) based on a commission structure
  • Opportunity to combine creative design with sales performance
  • Autonomy in managing client relationships and projects
  • Access to design tools and software for real-time visualization
  • Growth opportunities within a fast-paced landscaping business
Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re someone who:

  • Enjoys designing and selling, not just one or the other
  • Can quickly build trust with clients
  • Thinks visually and communicates ideas clearly
  • Is motivated by performance-based income
  • Takes ownership of projects from concept to execution
