Job description

CAT Scan Technician

Duties: Performs general CAT Scans of the chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, fluoroscopy, and pediatric exams. Completes post processing in a timely manner. Performs CTA's with post processing. Performs Scans of trauma patients in a timely and efficient manner. Associate may work in situations where they are required to handle medications during the distribution or administration process. They may have access to secured drug storage areas. Demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patients, self and axillary staff. Maintains high quality and image production in scanning. Demonstrates leadership related to coordination of providing radiology care across all settings.

Skills: Two (2) years of experience. Demonstrates reliability and effective communication skills. Utilizes problem solving skills, independent judgment and decision-making skills. Provides input to department planning process improvement. Participate in departmental and modality meetings. Assists in orientation and training of new associates and students. Preferred Skills & Experience: N/A.

Education: Associate's Degree. Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT. Radiation badges need to be supplied by the vendor.
