Job Summary:
Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture focused on the future of electric vehicles through innovative technology. The Senior IoT Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, securing, and scaling web and cloud assets while collaborating with teams to create next-gen applications.
Responsibilities:
• Own the development, security, and scalability of native, web and cloud assets.
• Architect novel solutions using React, NextJS, and TypeScript.
• Manage infrastructure and deployment of cloud services.
• Design and optimize data storage solutions utilizing both MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Implement middleware and backend services using Python.
• Participate in full-stack systems integration, design reviews, and high-quality code reviews.
• Balance buy-vs-build decisions with a strong bias toward scalable in-house SaaS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Collaborate with HIL and Embedded teams to roadmap next-gen applications and test management features.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional industry experience in web development, validation, or automation roles.
• Prior expertise in Automotive, Robotics, Embedded Systems or Hardware Testing is required.
• Strong Python experience and a solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming.
• Professional experience with React, NextJS, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.
• Familiarity and prior experience managing cloud-native environments (AWS, Docker, k8s).
• Experience configuring and querying both NoSQL (MongoDB) and Relational (SQL) databases.
