Job Title: Web Engineer / Consultant Location-Type: Onsite – Springfield, VA (5 days/week in secure client environment) Start Date Is: September 28 Duration: Permanent Compensation Range: $230,000/year 5–10% variable bonus

Job Description: Seeking a hands-on Full Stack Web Engineer / Consultant to build and enhance the user-facing application layer of a secure enterprise data platform. This role is centered on Node.js full-stack development, enterprise databases, frontend development, secure authentication, and containerized deployments. The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver who can work directly with client stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and execute with limited oversight in a secure environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Build and enhance full-stack web applications using Node.js
  • Develop and maintain user-facing interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks
  • Build middleware and application functionality connecting the UI with enterprise data sources
  • Work with enterprise databases, including SQL, stored procedures, schemas, and data models
  • Develop intuitive workflows that make it easier for users to access and interact with complex data
  • Support application integrations within a secure enterprise environment
  • Implement and troubleshoot PKI and certificate-based authentication, including X.509 and mTLS
  • Build, deploy, and support containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift/RHEL
  • Work within secure, air-gapped environments where traditional internet-based development resources may not be available
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate application functionality across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers
  • Independently investigate and resolve technical issues with limited oversight
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Present technical approaches and completed functionality to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with architecture, cloud engineering, and client teams on the broader platform implementation

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves:
    • 4–5 years of enterprise development experience
    • Full-stack Node.js development experience
    • Enterprise database experience with SAP HANA or a comparable platform, including SQL and stored procedures
    • Front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, and a modern framework
    • Docker and OpenShift/RHEL deployment experience
    • PKI/certificate-based authentication experience, including X.509 and mTLS
    • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
    • Creative, independent problem-solving skills
    • Comfortable owning client conversations
    • Ability to translate business requirements into a technical build with limited oversight
    • No bachelor's degree required
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Direct SAP HANA experience
    • Image processing experience with OpenCV or similar technologies
