Job description

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world's relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.

Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We've been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

The Role

Block is building the next generation of commerce experiences for merchants and PSPs through Afterpay, Cash App Pay, Clearpay, and Cash App Afterpay. As part of Block's Solutions Engineering team, you will be a senior technical leader driving complex partner and merchant integrations. You'll work directly with business development, sales, and product teams to deeply understand customer needs, showcase our APIs and services, and solve challenging technical problems that accelerate adoption.

You Will

  • Partner with Sales & Account Management to support sellers integrating with our platform, and co-sell Cash App Afterpay's Developer Platform.
  • Design and deliver technical solutions, including building proof-of-concepts, custom reports, sample integrations, and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Be a trusted technical advisor - translating business requirements into scalable integration approaches and advocating for best practices.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to surface partner feedback and influence the roadmap.
  • Create compelling demos, presentations, and technical deep dives for both executives and engineering.
  • Communicate product features, updates, and technical guidance across internal and external audiences.

You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (partner engineering, solutions architecture, sales engineering, or similar), working with enterprise merchants or global partners.
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise - comfortable building with APIs, debugging integrations, and guiding developers through complex implementations.
  • Prior professional experience with full-stack development and proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience leading technical projects end-to-end in globally distributed, multicultural teams.
  • A willingness to travel for onsite client meetings (10-20%)
