This position is responsible for producing accurate and timely estimates for the installation division of the Company. The primary focus of the Irrigation Estimator is estimating for irrigation install projects, but the position may require estimating for lighting, drainage, landscape, and hardscape elements of a project as well.Duties and Responsibilities:Complete material takeoffs and input data into company’s estimating software accurately and in a timely mannerProduce all estimates accurately and on schedule to allow for thorough review and approval by the Estimating Manager and Client Relations ManagerProvide value-engineering options to reduce costs without sacrificing qualityStay updated on new products, product supply, and pricingCommunicate with the purchasing department to confirm accuracy in costsSupport and participate in the development, implementation, and refinement of department processes and innovationsPerforming miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedSkills and Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent3+ years’ experience in landscape and irrigation estimating, design, sales, or another related fieldKnowledge of landscape and/or irrigation design, materials, and installation methodsExperience designing Irrigation systems is a plusCredentialed landscape and/or irrigation professional is a plusAbility to read and interpret Landscape Architectural plans and irrigation plans requiredCompetency in Microsoft Office requiredCompetency in Stack, AutoCAD and/or Land F/XAspire software program experience is highly desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesSelf-starter and self-disciplinedStrong problem-solving skillsResults and action oriented with a keen eye for detail and accuracyAble to take direction and suggestions and be a collaborative team playerJuniper is a full-service landscape design, build, and management company servicing the Southeast.
