Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

Job description

About Us

Foundry Robotics is building an AI-native robotics manufacturing company focused on deploying advanced assembly and production capability for leading robotics companies and national-security-critical hardware. Basically, we’re building robots that build robots.

Factory OS is building software that runs factories. Our platform spans cloud backends, on-prem services, and edge devices deployed on the factory floor. The operators, supervisors, and managers who use our tools need interfaces that are fast, reliable, and intuitive—even when network conditions aren’t perfect and the environment is demanding.

The Role

We are hiring a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to build end-to-end features across the Factory OS web and edge applications. You will work from responsive frontends to backend APIs, delivering software that runs both in the cloud and directly on factory-floor edge devices. You will ship features that real operators use every day to run production lines.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Feature Development

  • Develop and ship features across web and edge-deployed applications using modern frontend frameworks and backend services

  • Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces for factory operators, supervisors, and managers

  • Design backend APIs and services that support both cloud and edge deployment targets

  • Ship production-grade systems end-to-end

Edge + Reliability

  • Implement offline-capable and low-latency features for edge environments with intermittent connectivity

  • Design systems that tolerate degraded network modes and factory-floor conditions

  • Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, E2E) and participate in code reviews

Collaboration + Platform

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences

  • Contribute to shared libraries, component systems, and developer tooling used across Factory OS

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full stack

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of professional full-stack development experience, building and shipping real production software

  • Strong proficiency in a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or Svelte) and TypeScript

  • Backend experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or a similar server-side language

  • Understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design

  • Comfort with relational databases, caching layers, and message queues

  • Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience building progressive web apps (PWAs) or offline-first applications

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or edge computing frameworks

  • Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments

Growth Opportunities

  • Own major product surfaces used by factory teams every day

  • Gain deep exposure to edge computing and industrial software patterns

  • Influence frontend architecture and developer experience across the platform

  • Grow into technical leadership within the application team

Why Join Us?

This is one of the only places where world-class manufacturing operators, mechanical engineers, robotics researchers, and software engineers sit in the same room — building production systems together.

We are committed to being deeply embedded in the U.S. industrial base. Our focus is simple: build adaptive robotic assembly systems that make American manufacturing scalable, resilient, and competitive again.

If you want to run a mature, well-defined commercial org, this may not be the role.

If you want to build the commercial engine that brings AI-driven manufacturing to every industrial and energy customer in America — this is it.
