Senior Full Stack Engineer (7-12+ Years) - Defense Tech (Series A)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own and scale a maritime awareness platform at a Series A defense technology company. This is a high-ownership, backend-leaning IC role where you will take features from concept to production with minimal oversight.
You will be responsible for decomposing monolithic services into enterprise-grade microservices, building scalable data pipelines, and contributing across web and mobile applications.
Candidates must have experience working in government contracting or government-adjacent environments and understand compliance-driven engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Decompose monolithic services into scalable microservices and design robust data pipelines across the platform
  • Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using TypeScript, React/React Native, Python, and Node.js
  • Work extensively with AWS services (application-level usage: S3, Kinesis, EC2, Fargate, IoT) to support enterprise-scale operations
  • Own features end-to-end, from customer feedback through design, implementation, and production deployment
  • Operate as a self-directed individual contributor in a fast-moving, low-bureaucracy environment
