Job description

Description:

Customer Inquiry and Claims Response System (CICRS) is used by the indemnity claims process to provide customers with an efficient means of settling their claims and service refunds. Provides an efficient process for settling indemnity claims and service refunds for insured mail, improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

CICRS is designed to pay or deny indemnity claims against the Postal Service when there is loss or damage to insured articles in the mail stream. Once a claim is received into the CICRS system, the claim data is processed, and a determination is made to pay or deny the claim within 2 days. This CICRS EIR # covers CICRS, Service Refunds, and Bulk Claim.


The bulk claim submission API initiative provides an automatic data pipe, besides the current bulk claim web application to satisfy the vast growing bulk customers who are companies, including Macy’s, Esty, Nordstrom, eBay, etc. In this initiative, we’ll create a new external facing RESTful API for our partners to integrate with for their claim submissions so that we can improve their satisfaction and retain their business with USPS and even earn new business partners.

Requirements:

Experience (Role Requirements)

· Minimum of 7 years in Java development and 3 years of full stack experience.

· Experience in JAVA application development, web application, batch applications and support is required.

· Experience with oracle DB query development (including Hibernate in Spring Framework).

· Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests and performance tests

· Experience with implementing in Playwright and CICD with Jenkins

· Experience with Version One and Agile development.

Required Technical Skills:

· Must be expert in java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework.

· Must be export in web page development, including Struts, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, etc.

· Must be experienced with Kubernetes, micro-services, event-driven application with Kafka.

· Knowledge of best practices in Version Controls.

· Understanding of new technologies in order to assist with migration.

Required Soft Skills:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for collaborating on mainframe integration with Java developers and migration planning.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
