Our client, a Fortune 500 financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their backend development team. In this high-impact role, you will immediately contribute to critical initiatives across key projects, supporting sensitive and business-critical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient senior engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, can work with minimal oversight, and is comfortable delivering results on high-visibility projects. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week). Health, dental, and vision benefits are available. Note: Sponsorship is not available for this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Build and enhance features for a case management and workflow system, ensuring seamless integration with CRM and case management products such as Salesforce.
  • Apply distributed-systems thinking to maintain platform scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Establish and promote coding best practices across repositories, conduct constructive peer code reviews, and own the CI/CD, test, and release pipelines in GitLab.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps to design, implement, and maintain Terraform infrastructure for AWS deployments (ECS Fargate, ALB, RDS, Secrets Manager, S3, ECR, CloudWatch).
  • Contribute to AI-driven workflows, including building stateful LLM-driven flows (LangGraph or similar), and integrating decision engines (GoRules, ZEN, Drools, JSON-Logic) for case-routing and policy logic.
  • Utilize AI engineering tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) for code generation, test scaffolding, and day-to-day engineering automation.
  • Author and integrate decision tables into application code using embeddable rules engines.
  • Triage and resolve production and integration issues to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Extensive experience in full stack development with TypeScript and Go.
  • Strong proficiency in React + TypeScript for frontend development.
  • Hands-on experience with RDS databases (Postgres, MySQL), schema migration tooling, and Redis for caching and pub/sub.
  • Proven ability to deploy applications to AWS using ECS Fargate, ALB, RDS, Secrets Manager, S3, ECR, and CloudWatch.
  • Comfortable with Terraform (private module registries, multi-region, multi-account patterns) and GitLab CI/CD pipelines (terraform-plan/apply, image scanning, kaniko builds).
  • Experience using AI tooling (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) for code generation, test scaffolding, and engineering automation.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph or similar agent/workflow orchestration frameworks for LLM-driven flows.
  • Experience with embeddable rules engines (GoRules, ZEN, Drools, JSON-Logic) and authoring decision tables.
  • Experience integrating CRM and Case Management products such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to build features for case management and workflow systems.
  • Strong distributed-systems thinking to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Ability to establish coding best practices, conduct peer code reviews, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience partnering with DevOps on Terraform infrastructure for AWS deployments.
  • Ability to contribute to AI-driven workflows and decision engines for case-routing and policy logic.
  • Experience triaging production and integration issues.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal oversight in fast-paced environments.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • 12-month W2 contract with potential for extension or conversion
