Job description

Job Overview
The EHS Intern assists the EHS team in incident investigation, data analysis (including trend data from near misses, work injuries and audits); along with assisting in follow up conversations with associates related to incidents. Will assist in safety program functions, department audits and assisting engineering on projects related to safety. Project work with environmental projects, alongside Enterprise rollout of positions and programs.
Highlights of your role
  • DOCUMENTATION - Assisting in incident investigations & finding root causes. Maintaining confidentiality and record keeping. Working with EHS Specialists and EHS Coordinators, along with other key leadership roles to determine root cause and assisting in follow-up with associates after incidents.
  • DATA ANALYSIS - Conduct and assist with department audits, record keeping and tracking for EHS weekly meetings, Fargo staff meetings, and to EHS Manager. Tracking of injuries and incidents within the plant and throughout different departments.
  • PROJECTS - Environmental projects and special projects as assigned.
  • SAFTEY COMMITTEE - Help to facilitate monthly meetings, record keeping and assisting in Human Tech line assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar field required
  • Excellent technology skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills required
