Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer in Company in Lansing, MI.
Overview:
A large-scale enterprise technology environment is seeking multiple senior full stack developers to support ongoing application development and modernization initiatives. The team works on high-availability web applications built with Java-based services and modern front-end frameworks, supporting mission-critical business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain full stack enterprise applications using Java-based backend services and modern web technologies
* Build and enhance RESTful microservices and integrate them across distributed systems
* Develop responsive front-end interfaces using Angular and related web technologies
* Support database design and integration using SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle environments
* Participate in performance tuning activities, including JVM analysis and application profiling
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions
* Contribute to troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support as needed
* Engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and design improvements across the development lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience in full stack or enterprise Java development
* Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java EE
* Hands-on experience developing RESTful microservices
* Experience with frameworks such as Jersey and Spring
* Strong understanding of JVM internals, memory management, and performance profiling
* Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
* Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience in Oracle database environments
* Solid analytical thinking, debugging ability, and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team-based environments
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
* Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and automated deployment processes
* Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar
* Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
* Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
* Exposure to caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached
* Knowledge of SAML or other authentication/SSO mechanisms
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
