Description
IgniteAction, a joint venture between ActioNet and Ignite have an immediate need for a Full Stack Developer, as part of a dynamic and passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development. You will bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team will be key to the overall success.
 
Target Salary $180,000
Location:  Suitland, MD
 
Your Role
  • Design, develop and implement custom software and database application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
  • Act as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating with a do what it takes attitude to ensure product and team success.
  • Provide improvements to the product(s) being supported.
  • Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases.
  • Support release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelines.
  • Analyze complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components.
Your Experience and Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a federal public trust clearance.
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience with Java or Python
  • Experience with Hibernate (or other ORM), Spring boot, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, JSON, Web Services, Maven, Junit, and shell.
  • 3+ years' experience with modern Web frameworks (REACT.js, Vue, Angular, etc..)
  • 3+ years' experience with microservices (Kubernetes/ECS)
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Experience refactoring applications and migrating to the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Object oriented design and development (OODD) expertise, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred).
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL
  • Experience using SQL or PL/SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team.
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic and a self-starter
  • Additional preferred experience: VMware, ETL tools, ESB, message queuing, application security, automated testing, UML, VersionOne, Jira, or Sparx Enterprise Architect
  • processing standards (FIPS), and risk management frameworks (RMF).
