About This Position

This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Caldwell County Jail. 

The Food Service Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a company vehicle for an established route/territory. They will assist in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities 

  • Learning the delivery area. 
  • Checking orders for quality and accuracy. 
  • Following proper delivery procedures. 
  • Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed. 
  • Assist with receiving food and supply deliveries from vendors and restocking. 
  • Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor to the proper location. 
  • Gather supplies required for each site as detailed on production sheets and order guides. 
  • Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders in a timely manner. 
  • Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on the company vehicle to the manager. 
  • Responsible for maintaining and keeping the vehicle clean 
  • This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One (1) years' experience in delivering products/inventory preferred.
  • A valid state driver’s license for assigned vehicles is required. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Ability to transport and set up food and food service items. 
  • Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules. 
  • Strong team orientation.
