HEIGHTS en Español Associate Pastor 


The Heights in Spanish Associate Pastor will be responsible for supporting the Heights in Spanish Pastor in the planning, execution, supervision of the vision for this ministry with a special emphasis in the day to day operation of its current ministries.  Spanish is the primary language for this position, though English proficiency is required for communication and collaboration within the wider church team.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead HIS Care Ministries (e.g. RE-Engage, Celebrate Recovery, Financial Peace U)

  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing health of each ministry in collaboration with HIS Lead Pastor
  • Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders
  • Track participation, attendance and provide follow up


Provide Administrative Leadership and Supervision for HIS Life Groups

  • Plan and assign the calendar in collaboration with HIS Lead pastor
  • Supervise and assign the curriculum
  • Supervise and pastor the Teachers & Directors Team

Integral part of Hospitality and Connections Ministries for HIS

  • Supervise and lead the hospitality efforts with team leaders
  • Leading events like Guest and Membership gatherings

Collaborative Preaching for HIS

  • Evaluate the preaching calendar in collaboration with the Lead Pastor of HIS,
  • Preach occasionally on Sunday’s and other settings
  • Evaluate and review sermons weekly in collaboration with HIS Lead Pastor and Lay Leaders

Provide congregational pastoral care

  • In collaboration with the general pastoral team, visit and shepherd the congregation
  • Weekly visit to hospitals


Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone or Email)

  • Manage email, voicemail, and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner not to exceed 1 week
  • Build trust by maintaining confidentiality of information
  • Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion, and a service orientation

Pastoral Staff: The HIS Associate Pastor collaborates with other members of the Pastoral Staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.

HIS Worship and Media Director: The HIS Associate Pastor embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with HIS Worship and Media Director, envisioning, equipping, and empowering him to make the greatest kingdom impact possible.
