FUEL TRANSPORT DRIVER โ€“ JOB DESCRIPTION

Fuel Transport Driver Responsibilities:

The Fuel Transport Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of fuel from terminals to various delivery points while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. The Fuel Transport Driver loads, unloads and delivers petroleum products to our customers in a safe, efficient and professional manner. The Fuel Transport Driver reports directly to the Transportation Manager.

Fuel Transport Driver duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate and maintain a fuel transport vehicle in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Load and unload fuel from tanker trucks, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhere to all relevant transportation law, regulations and company polices, including but not limited to hours of service
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the fuel transport vehicle and associated equipment
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during transport operations
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance job skills and knowledge

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • At minimum, two (2) years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Meet insurability standards
  • Must meet all DOT requirements including Clearinghouse
  • Walk up or down steps and have no difficulty with heights
  • Lift up to 75lbs from ground to waist height and 25lbs from waist to above head

Hours:

The Fuel Transport Driver is a full-time position. Flexibility to work various shifts, extra shifts, and/or hours to ensure business needs are met including nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary/Income:

The Fuel Transport Driver is a non-exempt, hourly position



Friday-Monday with a 3pm start time.
