Vanguard Renewables is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver with tanker and dry van experience to join our team in River Falls, WI.

This is a full-time driving opportunity transporting organic food waste from customer locations to assigned destinations, where it can be converted into renewable energy.

Most routes operate within approximately 100 miles of your home location, with occasional travel up to 250 miles. Drivers work primarily Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours per day and occasional Saturday work as needed.

What You'll Do:

As a CDL-A Driver, you'll safely transport organic food waste while maintaining accurate documentation, complying with DOT regulations, and representing Vanguard Renewables professionally at every customer and facility location.

Driving & Transportation

  • Safely operate assigned Class A commercial vehicles.
  • Transport organic food waste from the point of origin to assigned destinations.
  • Primarily operate within a 100-mile radius, with occasional routes up to 250 miles.
  • Follow predetermined routes and maintain timely deliveries.
  • Assist with route planning and mapping when needed.
  • Safely maneuver and park tractor-trailers in various operating environments.
  • Adjust driving practices appropriately for weather, traffic, and road conditions.

Loading & Unloading

  • Ensure loads are properly secured before transportation.
  • Safely and efficiently handle and unload organic food waste at designated destinations.
  • Follow all procedures related to tanker and dry van operations.
  • Inspect loads and equipment to help prevent spills, damage, or safety incidents.

DOT Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate driver logs in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Record all load and delivery information accurately on required documentation.
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.
  • Track and accurately report working hours.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT, ICC, federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance

  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Keep assigned trucks and trailers clean and in good operating condition.
  • Perform routine equipment and maintenance checks.
  • Monitor fuel, oil, tire pressure, and other basic vehicle conditions.
  • Promptly notify management of major maintenance concerns, equipment problems, or delivery issues.
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced as needed.

Safety & Communication

  • Make safety the top priority at all times.
  • Comply with all company safety requirements, procedures, and rules.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with dispatch.
  • Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
  • Represent Vanguard Renewables professionally with customers, coworkers, and the public.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
  • Valid tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
  • Experience operating both tanker and dry van equipment.
  • Valid DOT medical card.
  • Clean motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to safely maneuver and park a tractor-trailer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use GPS and other routing systems.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday for shifts of 8 to 12 hours per day.
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to operate safely in varying weather and road conditions.

CDL Restriction Requirements:

Candidates must hold a Class A CDL without the following restrictions:
