Job description

JOB DUTIES:

  • Operates motor vehicle engaged in the delivery of bulk products to various retail and commercial customers.
  • Carries out scheduled customer deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs all required company and regulatory agency vehicle inspections prior to and following each assigned shift.
  • Prepares and distributes required vehicle inspection forms in accordance with D.O.T. requirements.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Strong team player with the ability to team with proprietary and commercial drivers to increase customer service and efficiency.
  • Must be able to communicate the skills & tools used to maintain safe operations.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Manage multi-task situations and display professional behavior in conflict situations.
  • Experience is preferred in the operation of tankers.
  • Willing to comply with all safety requirements and work within an environment where safety comes first.

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Candidates must hold a valid commercial driver’s license with Hazardous Materials, tankers, doubles, triples endorsements, Valid TSA Clearance, Medical Card, TWIC.

· Must have at least two years of experience in the operation of a Semi Trailer, Truck and Trailer or equivalent commercial vehicle.

· Candidates must have a driving record free of accidents and driving violations for the past three years.

· This is a safety sensitive position; In accordance with Department of Transportation / Federal Motor Carrier Administration a pre-employment drug screen is required as well as random drug testing as a requirement of continued employment.

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 25 years of age
· Must have at least 3 years of verifiable Class A driving experience
· Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license
· CDL must have a Hazmat with TSA clearance & Tanker endorsements
. Must have clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to perform repetitive motion activities throughout the day

2. Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently

3. Must be able to lift and/or move 60 lbs on a regular basis.

4. Must be able to work 10-12 hours per day, 5 days a week

5. Drug and Alcohol screening required
