Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Utilize TICO equipment to deliver and issue multiple products such as diesel fuel, gasoline, or Diesel Exhaust Fluid into TICO or customer equipment as directed by leadership.
  • Responsible for exhibiting a professional, safe, and customer service-oriented approach to all aspects of the operation.
  • Develop through hands-on training a thorough understanding of tanker trucks and operating equipment such as pumps, hoses, nozzles, and plumbing of a mobile tanker unit.
  • Perform accurate accounting & reporting of delivered fuel utilizing mobile devices and paperwork.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any equipment deficiencies to supervisor or management in a timely manner.
  • Respond quickly to fuel or fluid spills to initiate containment and cleanup as per company guidelines.
  • Maintain TICO equipment and work areas so that they are clean and organized.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all product delivery methods and routes as instructed by supervisors and managers.
  • Flexibility to perform other operations duties that may arise as requested by supervisors or managers. Fuel technicians may be cross trained within different areas of the fuel department or operations.
  • May be responsible for working individually or as a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to consistently stand, bend, kneel, climb on and off elevated surfaces for duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Maintain ability to bend, squat, crouch, twist, climb, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to reach both above and below head to complete necessary tasks.
  • Ability to handle nozzles, hoses, valves, fuel caps, and other necessary components for effectively issuing products into equipment.
  • Work in an outdoor environment where tasks must be performed in the elements.
  • Ability to safely distinguish between products in tanks, hoses, and other compartments.
  • Ability to hear audio for alarms, radio communication, and equipment sounds.
  • Maintain physical ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner while maintaining safety.
  • Use basic hand tools to perform routine repairs or maintenance to equipment.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain focus and safety practices during mission-critical tasks that may be repetitive

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy, delivering fuel within allotted timeframe allowed by customer, follow company procedures and safety guidelines,
  • Demonstrate reliability, safety, and a positive team member through proper attendance and conduct.
  • Ability to work assigned shift as instructed by leadership and maintain flexibility to adjust schedule as needed.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card

Preferred Qualifications
  • TWIC card in possession
  • Class A or B CDL with tanker/hazmat endorsement a plus
  • Experience in fueling/petroleum field
  • Strong leadership skills are a plus
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
