Job Overview

Weatherford is hiring an experienced Material Handler in Odessa, TX. 

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence by safely handling, transporting, and storing equipment and materials using forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices. Working within established safety and quality standards, this position helps ensure efficient logistics, inventory management, and service delivery across the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of lifting equipment, including overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, and slings.

  • Load and unload equipment from trucks and other transport vehicles.

  • Manually handle equipment when necessary.

  • Fold and move equipment within storage areas or workshops.

  • Picking and pulling orders for the product line.

  • Shipping items both domestically and internationally.

  • Pre-order fuel, lubricants, and spare parts as required.

  • Carry out any other delegated responsibilities assigned by Line Management within specified timeframes, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently to meet business requirements.

  • Understand and comply with all Weatherford safety rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Complete work assignments to the highest quality standards.

  • Perform additional duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor, within the physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience.

  • Ability to operate hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and other lifting and securing devices.

  • Basic mathematical and measurement skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.

  • Valid forklift operator certification/license preferred.
