We are seeking an experienced Fuel Pricing Manager to lead our pricing team and oversee daily pricing operations that support profitability, market competitiveness, and operational excellence. This position plays a key role in developing pricing strategies, analyzing market trends, protecting margins, and partnering with Sales, Supply, and Operations to ensure accurate, competitive pricing across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Fuel Pricing Support Specialists and/or Pricing Analysts.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure team members have the training, tools, and resources needed to perform successfully.
  • Provide quality oversight of pricing activities, customer price files, and proposal preparation while ensuring adherence to pricing standards and processes.

Pricing Strategy & Market Analysis
  • Execute regional pricing strategies that align with company profitability goals and market conditions.
  • Review, audit, and approve daily pricing recommendations to ensure pricing accuracy and margin integrity.
  • Monitor fuel market trends, competitor pricing, and supply dynamics to identify pricing risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze customer profitability, pricing trends, and margin performance, recommending adjustments when appropriate.
  • Oversee customer pricing files, contract pricing updates, and margin reviews.
  • Support customer proposals, pricing validation, bid analysis, and large RFP submissions.
  • Assist in implementing new pricing methodologies, standardized workflows, and margin management initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply, and Operations to ensure pricing accuracy, cost alignment, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare pricing analyses, variance reports, and business insights for leadership and commercial teams.
  • Ensure pricing processes comply with company policies, audit requirements, and data governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing workflows, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
  • Support acquisitions, business integrations, and system implementations to ensure smooth pricing transitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in fuel pricing, energy markets, financial analysis, or a related commercial discipline.
  • Two or more years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of pricing systems such as AXXIS, OPIS/Platts, and PM.NET.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Professional judgment, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.

Preferred
  • Experience within the fuel distribution, petroleum, logistics, or energy industries.
