POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced motor Fuel Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. The Motor Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of fuel products to various customers, including gas stations, industrial sites, and commercial businesses. Essential Functions: 

  1. Fuel Delivery Operations: 

  • Operate and navigate fuel delivery trucks, ensuring routes are efficiently planned to minimize delays. 

  • Deliver various types of fuel (e.g., gasoline, diesel, heating oil) to customer locations in accordance with delivery schedules. 

  1. Loading and Unloading Procedures: 

  • Load fuel onto the truck at the distribution terminal, ensuring the correct amount and type of fuel is loaded. 

  • Utilize appropriate equipment and techniques for unloading fuel safely into customer storage tanks, following all safety protocols. 

  1. Safety Compliance: 

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials, including OSHA and EPA standards. 

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. 

  • Monitor for leaks or spills during loading, transport, and unloading, and respond according to established emergency procedures. 

  1. Record Keeping: 

  • Maintain accurate records of fuel deliveries, including quantities delivered, customer signatures, and any discrepancies. 

  • Complete required documentation for regulatory compliance, including hazardous materials manifests. 

  1. Customer Service: 

  • Communicate with customers upon arrival to confirm delivery details and address any questions or concerns. 

  • Provide excellent customer service, building positive relationships with clients to promote customer loyalty. 

  1. Vehicle Maintenance: 

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including checking oil, fuel, brakes, and tires. 

  • Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to the fleet manager or maintenance team promptly. 

  1. Emergency Response: 

  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as fuel spills or accidents, by following proper protocols and procedures. 

  • Participate in emergency response training and drills as required. 

Qualifications: 

  • Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat endorsement). 

  • Experience: 

  • Previous experience in fuel delivery or a related field is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding hazardous materials transportation. 

  • Training: 

  • Completion of safety and hazardous materials training programs. 

  • First aid and CPR certification may be beneficial. 

  • Skills: 

  • Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. 

  • Ability to navigate and use GPS systems for efficient routing. 

  • Basic mechanical skills for vehicle inspections and minor repairs.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift heavy fuel hoses and equipment (up to 50 lbs) as needed.

  • Drivers spend a significant amount of time on the road and may experience long hours. 

  • May be exposed to noise, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
