About Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT)

In this role, you will be the guardian of product reliability, owning the end-to-end laboratory validation lifecycle for mission-critical hardware. You will make a significant contribution by transforming complex test plans into actionable data, directly influencing the durability and performance of products that power the world's infrastructure.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead laboratory validation activities by executing specialized vibration and environmental stress tests per industry standards.

  • Own the configuration of complex test setups, building custom harnesses, load boxes, and high-tech lab infrastructure.

  • Champion data integrity by ensuring all test outcomes are accurately documented to support critical problem-solving and engineering conclusions.

  • Drive workflow discipline within Jira, maintaining real-time visibility into the status of essential hardware validation cycles.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with validation leads to align lab throughput with equipment availability and product milestones.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in a product validation or test laboratory environment.

  • Proven expertise in hands-on diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical systems using DMMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute complex DVP&Rs with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with environmental chambers or data acquisition systems like Dewesoft or SOMAT.

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as MIL-STD-810, SAE J1939, or IEC 60529.

  • Familiarity with electronics assembly best practices (e.g., IPC-A-610) including soldering and rework skills.

  • Background in testing RF, GNSS, or sensing technologies and using Jira for Agile task tracking.
