Position Summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support equipment-related accounting activities across multiple entities, including invoice approvals, payroll review, equipment tracking, cost analysis, reporting, and ledger reconciliation. This role works closely with project managers and project teams to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with company policies and procedures, and timely completion of assigned accounting projects.


What You'll Do

  • Perform routine equipment transaction accounting duties for various entities
  • Approve equipment work order invoices and ensure accurate general ledger posting
  • Review and confirm weekly payroll for the Equipment Department
  • Maintain accurate equipment listings and update related activity in accounting systems
  • Analyze monthly equipment costs and investigate variances
  • Evaluate equipment data and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare quarterly fuel reports with supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with yard managers and project teams to reconcile on-site physical equipment with financial ledger data
  • Perform ad hoc accounting projects as assigned


What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a construction, equipment, fleet, manufacturing, logistics, or heavy operations environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, positive, and approachable demeanor
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively with others
