Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage all aspects of our security program. The FSO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all government security regulations and requirements, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial security, personnel security, and physical security. 


Work Location: On-site, Arlington, VA 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in compliance with government regulations.
  • Administer the personnel security clearance process, including initial submissions, periodic reinvestigations, and terminations.
  • Manage the company's facility clearance and ensure all safeguarding requirements are met.
  • Conduct security education, training, and awareness programs for all employees.
  • Investigate and report security incidents and violations.
  • Liaise with government agencies, including the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
  • Maintain all security documentation and records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. May substitute four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as an FSO or in a related security role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NISPOM and other government security regulations.
  • Experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
  • Active Secret security clearance (minimally).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with COMSEC (Communications Security). 
  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
