Job description

Job Title: FSO
Location: Suitland, MD
Required Clearance: TS/SCI
Salary: Negotiable
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer to support ONI security operations in a fast-paced DoD/IC environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of industrial, personnel, operations, and physical security, along with hands-on experience supporting SCIF operations and classified programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and maintain program security databases.
  • Interpret and apply security policy related to classified material handling, processing, dissemination, and control.
  • Process SCI indoctrination packages.
  • Review DD Form 254s for accuracy and completeness.
  • Use DISS and Scattered Castles to support personnel security requirements.
  • Provide additional security support to ONI as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Experience with 32 CFR Part 117/NISPOM, DCID, ICD, DoD directives, and applicable Executive Orders.
  • Experience working in a SCIF.
  • Experience as a Contract Security Specialist Representative (CSSR).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively with government civilian and industry personnel.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to obtain a polygraph if required.

Education and Experience:
  • FSO Certification required: CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU, at minimum.
  • Additional CDSE certifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of DoD/IC experience required.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of related experience; Bachelor's degree with 6+ years; Master's degree with 4+ years; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Navy or broader IC experience is a plus.
