Production Technician I
ABOUT THE ROLE
This individual must demonstrate the ability to multitask based on the needs of the shift. In some instances,
the employee may be required to work in excess of 8 hours per shift. The individual must be able to perform
mechanical tasks, understand equipment operation and inspection, and will perform duties that are at times
quite physical in nature.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Safety
• Identify and correct any safety issues identified
• Perform field level risk assessments.
• Perform duties in a safe manner abiding by the plant safety policies
• Environmental:
• Identify and correct any environmental issues noted during daily shift operations.
• Quality:
• Provide troubleshooting and process changes recommendations based on test results.
• Core Responsibilities:
• To comply with all company safety and environmental requirements in the performance of the job.
• To perform shift and pre-start inspections and ensure that any safety or maintenance issues on the
equipment are addressed.
• Ensure quality parameters, throughout every step of processes are maintained in accordance with
Amrize and ASTM guidelines and procedures
• Complete all reports with accuracy
• Measure silos as needed
• Identify issues using root cause analysis and correction.
• Maintain raw material flow in hoppers, tanks and feeders, which at times requires manual labor to unplug
blockages. Reporting any material flow problem that could adversely impact the manufacturing process.
• Clean around raw material hoppers, coke tunnel, and finish mill feeders, etc. as needed.
• Work any shift, including weekends and paid holidays as schedules dictate.
• Use safe work practices and report hazardous conditions as encountered on the job.
Additional Requirements:
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit
these behaviors.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved
Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable
law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal
meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
