Title:Part-Time Dispensary Associate

Summary

We are looking for a customer service-oriented and operationally driven candidate to serve as a frontline associate at our cannabis dispensary. You must be available to open and close the store before and after daily operations, ensuring the store is always clean and customer-ready. Dispensary Associates will comply with all state, federal, and local laws and IDFPR regulations. Other duties as assigned.

As a condition of employment, all newly hired employees of Windy City should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of work. Requests for medical or religious accommodation may be made with the company's HR department. Failure to establish proof of vaccination (or approved exemption) may result in offer rescission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as a cashier with mastery of the POS system and provide excellent customer service.
  • Serve as a host, being a welcoming first interaction for all customers entering the dispensary.
  • Intake deliveries from cultivators accurately, ensuring compliance with state rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate orders, manage staffing levels, and oversee bulk-to-shelf inventory.
  • Execute pick-and-pack operations, ensuring accurate and efficient fulfillment of orders.
  • Act as an ID scanner, verifying IDs and managing the customer line.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure.
  • Proficiency with cash handling and POS systems.
  • Ability to accommodate a changing schedule and work in a fast-paced environment.

Role Requirements

  • At least 1 year in retail or hospitality industry with Point of Sales and basic computer skills proficiency; cannabis retail experience a plus.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a dispensing agent identification card issued by the state of Illinois.
  • Ability to accommodate a changing schedule and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, standard operating procedures, state and local laws for working in the cannabis industry.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand or walk for extended periods; use hands to perform manual, repetitive tasks; lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance); hear, understand, and communicate effectively while wearing a headset, and have the visual acuity to view screens and identify small product details, such as SKU numbers, with or without corrective lenses.
