This position is fully remote, allowing counselors to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of their own homes while ensuring consistent access to support and resources from our administrative team. • Conduct initial assessments and continuous evaluations of clients’ mental health status through one-on-one sessions, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing culturally responsive methods to engage clients and promote successful outcomes.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing ongoing support with effective therapeutic tools and strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients requiring additional support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track client interactions and treatment outcomes.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Frontier Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a broad and diverse patient population, including individuals facing various challenges such as mental illness, chronic stress, trauma, and addiction. Your expertise will help in addressing emotional and psychological barriers that hinder their daily lives. By applying inclusive and culturally sensitive approaches, you will ensure that clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to make changes toward a healthier lifestyle.

• A valid and current license as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of four years of direct counseling experience with a variety of patient issues.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in implementing evidence-based treatment practices.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills essential for building rapport and trust with clients.
• Technological proficiency with EHR systems and remote therapy platforms.

• Experience utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Background in conducting group therapy and workshops focused on specific issues like anger management, coping skills, or stress reduction.
• Familiarity with community resources, support networks, and referral processes in Long Beach and surrounding areas.
