Job Title: SharePoint UI/UX Web Developer
Job Type: Contract (2-month assignment)
Job Location: Onsite in Houston, TX 77002
Job Schedule: M-F,40 hours/week
Job Salary: $34-$36 (DOE)


Position Overview

The SharePoint UI/UX Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing user‑centered web applications that balance visual appeal, usability, and performance. This role combines front‑end development expertise with strong UI/UX design principles, translating business and user requirements into intuitive, responsive, and accessible digital experiences.

This is a hands‑on role requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders, designers, and technical team members to deliver high‑quality, production‑ready web solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement modern web parts, site architecture, and mega menus with SharePoint
  • Design and develop responsive, user‑focused web interfaces using modern front‑end technologies
  • Translate wireframes, mockups, and user flows into functional, high‑quality code
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with user experience goals
  • Apply UI/UX best practices to enhance usability, accessibility, and visual consistency
  • Conduct usability testing, troubleshoot issues, and iterate based on user feedback
  • Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility
  • Maintain and improve existing web applications to ensure consistent user experience
  • Ensure adherence to branding, accessibility standards (WCAG), and security best practices

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience specifically designing, improving, and building sites in SharePoint Online
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Web Developer, Front‑End Developer, or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, usability, and responsive design
  • Experience converting design assets (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into production code
  • Strong attention to detail and design consistency
  • Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile or sprint‑based development environments
