Job description

The Front End Loader Driver is responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclables from commercial customers using a front-end loader truck. Drivers will safely operate equipment, service assigned routes, maintain customer relationships, and ensure compliance with all company, DOT, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Front End Loader truck on assigned routes.
  • Service commercial dumpsters and containers according to route schedules.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complete required route, safety, and DOT documentation.
  • Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch personnel.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Assist with other job-related duties as assigned.
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Start time: 6:00 AM
  • End time: Route completion
  • Every other Saturday required
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B, depending on company requirements).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Fewer than 3 points on driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT-regulated drug screening (UA).
  • Previous waste industry or commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity throughout the route.
Background Requirements
  • No felony convictions within the past 3 years.
  • No history of violent crime.
  • No sex crime convictions.
  • Must meet all company hiring and motor vehicle registration (MVR) requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb in and out of truck cab repeatedly.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
