In this W inter/Spring Co-Op internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end module, working with experienced engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only you will get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as exploring full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to validate/develop RF products such as LNA, RF switches, Couplers, and integrated front-end module products.
  • Measuring RF products' performance across supply, temperature, and frequency
  • Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and analyzing data
  • Participating and presenting in data reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Working with a design engineer to help optimize matching circuits and verify the designs
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

Required Experience and Skills

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS or MS/PhD program, and must be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op
  • Must have the ability to do Co-Op term of 6 months prior to graduation within the following time frames of Winter/Spring 2027 Co-Op Term (January - June 2027)
  • Must have knowledge in RF parameters (Gain, NF, insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, etc.)
  • Must have experience in using RF equipments such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources
  • Strong background in RF and Microwave designs
  • Experience in design tools such as ADS/HFSS and/or Cadence Virtuoso
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make impact
  • Strong career interest in RF/microwave testing and engineering
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
  • Knowledge of coding is a plus
  • Good communication and presentation skills

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
