Senior Lead Front End Developer
Location: Hybrid - Rhode Island
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java and hands-on experience building enterprise-scale, cloud-ready distributed systems. This role is for engineers who strive for engineering excellence, deliver high-quality solutions, and are passionate about advancing modern technology practices. You will play a hands-on role in designing, developing, and enhancing backend services using Java, while also supporting front-end development in Angular as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Support front-end development tasks using Angular 17+, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and architecture teams to build solutions that align with business priorities.
  • Build scalable microservices and distributed systems in a cloud environment.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to object-oriented design principles and secure coding best practices.
  • Participate in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development processes and ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 6-8 years of full stack development experience with a strong focus on Java and backend engineering.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful API development, and Angular 17+ with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and RxJS. Experience building scalable microservices and familiarity with application servers like Apache Tomcat.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to front-end testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins or uDeploy.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $85.00 and $88.00 per hour. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
