The JCO Development and Sustainment contract will provide rapid capability development and operational readiness leveraging industry best-practices and innovative solutions to ensure Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) meets operational requirements and matures existing government owned software in an efficient and effective manner. The purpose of the JCO effort is to provide Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile software development and maintenance/sustainment support deployment of capabilities through application releases, containerization, integration, and data engineering work.

The Mid-Level Frontend Developer will work closely with creative design and backend development teams to create HTML5/CSS3-based advertising content for desktop, iOS and other mobile platforms. In this role, you will have an understanding of backend programming architecture and technologies used to develop web projects and mobile applications. The Mid-Level Frontend Developer will have a high-level of knowledge in design toolsets, and the methods of transforming creative elements for use as HTML based content as well as the ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into a working experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating exciting experiences on the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices that conform to W3C standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support for requirements definition, process improvement initiatives, and specialized studies.
  • Lead the analysis, planning, and development of technical deliverables, including requirements documentation, functional models, architectures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Design and develop front-end solutions, including user interfaces and interactive components, ensuring usability, accessibility, and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical design artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, UI specifications, and other documentation to support JCC2 PMO reviews and decision-making.
  • Implement and optimize GUI enhancements, navigation structures, and user experience elements to improve operator efficiency and overall system usability.
  • Develop, test, and maintain reusable, standards-compliant code to ensure cross-browser compatibility and scalable front-end performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to conduct code reviews, ensure quality assurance, and promote adherence to established standards and best practices.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance front-end development capabilities and team performance.

You MUST have:

  • Active DoD TS clearance
  • 7+ years of frontend or software development experience, with a focus on building user interfaces and interactive web applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
  • Experience developing responsive, accessible, and user-centric UI/UX solutions
  • Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, mockups, UI specifications, and design artifacts
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams on UI/UX and application development
  • 3+ years of experience using tools such as Jira for bug tracking and testing web-based applications
  • Experience conducting front-end testing, validation, and performance optimization (cross-browser compatibility, usability, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and deploying applications in cloud environments
  • Experience contributing to technical documentation, requirements definition, and system design discussions

It’s GREAT if you also have:

  • DoD TS/SCI preferred.
  • Experience using Agile Test-Driven development
  • Experience integrating into DoW DevSecOps environments
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
  • Experience with CI/CD software development

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required + 7 years’ experience OR Master’s degree in related field + 5 years’ experience
