Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000.00-$128,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills. Enlighten is looking for a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. Our team is dedicated to mentoring and supporting our colleagues, and we believe that everyone has the potential to grow and excel. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
  • JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
  • Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
  • Help define and interact with REST based API's.
  • Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support.
  • Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Security Clearance - A U.S. Government security clearance is not required on the first day, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with front end software development/engineering and a Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
  • Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
  • Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous experience with BDP is a plus.
  • DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer.
