Intact’s Global Specialty Lines business spans across more than 20 verticals in four distinct markets: U.S., Canada, UK and Europe. The following opportunity is for our U.S. team.

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our IT team based in our Canton, MA; Boston, MA or Farmington, CT offices on a hybrid schedule. The DevOps role focuses on building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and containerized application delivery into a managed Kubernetes platform (AKS or equivalent). The DevOps Engineer works within established standards while helping improve automation, reliability, and developer experience across application teams. Some of the DevOps Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Support containerized application builds using Docker
  • Deploy applications to Kubernetes using standardized deployment patterns such as Helm
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline and deployment issues across environments
  • Partner with application teams to onboard services to shared pipelines
  • Apply established security, identity, and configuration standards
  • Contribute to documentation, patterns, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Networking fundamentals of troubleshooting delivery issues.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of Git and source control practices.

The expertise you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or automation-focused roles
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep
  • Experience with AKS or another managed Kubernetes service
  • Familiarity with Java, .NET, or modern front-end applications (e.g., React)

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $86,000 - $121,000 based on the factors aforementioned. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
