Summary:
This position provides direction and supervision of Front-End Operations employees within one or more specialties, physical locations, or service lines. Employees in this class are considered experts within the area of assignment and provide assistance to both subordinates and other staff.
Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures all staff are properly trained in Front End Operations standard operating procedures. Provides on-the-job education and identifies broader training needs that may be addressed with additional support.
  2. Coaches team to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Works with Front End Operations leadership to develop clinic specific procedures to accomplish objectives. Tracks progress toward meeting all goals and shares with team on regular basis. Seeks out and considers team members feedback for ways to improve or maintain performance related to goals.
  3. Will serve as subject matter expert for all Front-End Operations work and procedures in assigned areas and is the primary resource for employees needing assistance with any problems, interpretation, or application of standard Front End work. Identifies and communicates updates or changes to existing standard work and holds team accountable.
  4. Oversees the day-to-day operations of Front-End work in assigned areas; establishes priorities within the clinic supervised including work schedules, organizes and directs the flow of work. Adjusts individual assignments to meet the needs of the business. Will serve as subject matter expert for all Front-End Operations work and procedures in assigned areas and is the primary resource for employees needing assistance with any problems, interpretation, or application of standard Front End work. Responsible for maintaining all assigned work queues and resolves issues within standard time frame.
  5. Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members. Responsible for ensuring new team members attend all required training, complete Front-End Operations orientation, and are familiar with all applicable department and system policies and procedures. Supervisor is also responsible for all aspects of personnel management including corrective action.
  6. Reviews work of subordinates and productivity to ensure that the quality and quantity of work performed meets internally established goals for timeliness and to determine areas for improvement. Completes annual performance reviews for team members and provides updates throughout the year. Suggests and participates in quality improvement initiatives for the clinic and the department.
  7. Serving as point person for all complex customer service and administrative issues.
