Door Greeter Part Time - Job Responsibilities & Expectations
Having clear performance expectations is a critical part of doing one's job well. The following is intended to provide you with these expectations. Please do not sign this document if you feel that you are unclear about any of these expectations, or you feel that you do not want to, or cannot, meet these expectations.
As a Store Door Greeter, your primary responsibility is to create a welcoming first impression for every customer who enters and exits the store. You will help foster a safe, friendly, and service-focused shopping environment by greeting customers, offering assistance, and supporting basic store standards.
K&G Door Greeters are expected to work collegially with co-workers. This means that everyone feels supported by each other in the performance of their job functions and contributes to a work environment consistent with K&G's mission statement and code of conduct. This teamwork is the core of providing a high-quality work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Remain at the store's front entrance to welcome and thank customers.
Help deter potential theft through customer service and awareness.
Provide courteous and professional assistance by answering questions or directing customers to store associates as needed.
Support store operations by monitoring fitting rooms, exits, or other high-traffic areas as directed by management.
Conduct receipt or bag checks only when requested by store management, or when the EAS system is triggered, and in line with company policy.
Observe and promptly report any unusual or dishonest activity by customers or employees, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to store management.
Assist with daily tasks such as organizing front-end areas, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting customer service needs.
Attend store meetings, physical inventory, and training classes as scheduled.
Verbally update store management on observations, concerns, or assigned tasks during each shift.
Comply with all workplace safety procedures, customer service standards, and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for the majority of work shift, frequently bend, squat and twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb a ladder to reach merchandise and or supplies.
