Job description

Front Desk Receptionist — Spine Care Center
Location: Layton, UT Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us:
We specialize in non-surgical treatment of spinal conditions, helping patients recover from bulging and herniated discs and avoid surgery whenever possible. We’re a patient-centered, close-knit team that believes great care depends on every role — and it starts the moment a patient walks through the door. We give our staff the support, tools, and respect they need to do meaningful work.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a warm, organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and a key support to our clinical team. In this role, you’ll set the tone for each patient’s visit — greeting them, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling billing — while also lending a hand to our physician, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist as they care for patients. You’ll be the friendly face and steady presence that keeps our clinic running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a real difference in patients’ recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients, creating a welcoming first impression for every visit.
  • Answer and manage phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff.
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Handle billing tasks, including collecting payments, processing charges, and verifying insurance.
  • Assist the physician, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist with patient care and day-to-day clinic needs.
  • Help prepare treatment areas and support patient flow throughout the day.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the clinic’s system.
  • Keep the front office and waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Uphold patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and all clinic policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or administrative training a plus.
  • Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or medical office role preferred.
  • Familiarity with scheduling systems, billing, and electronic health records (EHR) a plus, specifically Chirotouch.
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and assisting patients directly.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
  • Warm, professional, and patient-focused demeanor.
  • Reliability, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly pay: $16–$25/hour, commensurate with experience.
  • Paid training and onboarding.

Why Join Us:
  • A mission that matters. Be part of a team that helps patients avoid surgery and get their lives back through conservative, hands-on care.
  • Work-life balance. – 1-2 weeks of paid time off, plus paid holidays - Predictable scheduling with no weekends - A supportive, low-stress environment that values your time.
  • Grow your career. - Hands-on experience in a specialized spine care setting - Training and mentorship from experienced clinicians - A pathway to grow into other clinical or administrative roles.
  • A workplace you’ll enjoy. - Modern facilities and a friendly, collaborative team - Work directly alongside physicians, a nurse practitioner, and a physical therapist - A clinic that treats staff and patients like people, not numbers.
