IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A FRONT OFFICE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL! Busy family practice is seeking a full-time EXPERIENCED Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. Must be professional and organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a high volume environment.
Duties include:
  • Setting high standards for clinical quality, compliance and excellence, and model the clinic’s core values of outstanding patient care.
  • Greeting patients and enabling a smooth and efficient patient flow 
  • Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.
  • Verifying insurance using Availity, Evicore, and other provider portals 
  • Checking in and checking out patients
  • Collecting balances and copays using Square
  • Posting charges and processing patient payments on the EHR system.
  • Answering and routing calls to coordinate patient care
  • Performing daily reconciliation for cash and checks collected
  • Scanning correspondence into patient charts and addressing patient messages
  • Scheduling imaging and referrals
  • Coordinating phone requests to refill prescription drug medications in accordance with physician instructions.
  • Working on AR aging to improve collections
  • Participating in Quality improvement projects to enhance workflow
  • Other ancillary tasks as they arise
Qualifications
  • BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working as a team member in a healthcare environment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in primary care.
