Dental Front Office Administrative Assistant – Hyde Park, Chicago, IL

Are you a detail-oriented, business-savvy professional with a talent for problem-solving and a passion for delivering exceptional service? Smile Design Studio of Hyde Park is looking for an experienced Dental Front Office Administrative Assistant to become an integral part of our team.

In this dynamic and multifaceted role, you’ll need strong organizational skills, a solid grasp of numbers, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with confidence and grace. If you're energized by variety and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to connect with you!

Please note: This is far more than a receptionist position. We’re seeking someone with a thorough understanding of front office operations, dental insurance processes, basic accounting, and patient care coordination.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Submitting insurance claims and ensuring timely processing
  • Assisting patients with financing options (e.g., Care Credit, Cherry) in coordination with our treatment plan coordinator
  • Performing accounting-related tasks such as collecting balances, managing in-house plans, and maintaining financial accuracy
  • Maintaining up-to-date patient records and processing payments
  • Supporting daily office operations to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Coordinating referrals, managing digital x-rays and imaging, and optimizing the schedule for efficiency

Office Hours (Full-Time):

  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
