Our Team
The Risk & Fraud team at Q2 is responsible for helping our customers take a proactive stance against fraud and managing the risks of their business. We build and enhance products that evolve with the ever-changing fraud landscape, delivering tangible value for our customers. The Role
In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and operate cloud-native, data-driven services and applications across Q2's Fraud Intelligence Platform. This is a production-focused role where you will gradually take on more responsibility as you gain experience working with real-world systems and data.
We are looking for engineers who are eager to learn, enjoy working across the stack, and care about building reliable software in environments where quality and correctness matter.
Your key responsibilities:
  • Implement and unit test back-end components and front-end web pages.

  • Create, integrate, and test software solutions of moderate complexity

  • Support, maintain, and resolve issues in production systems.

  • Ensure adherence to all security, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience; up to 2+ years of related experience.

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript.

  • Web development experience and familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular, React).

  • Understanding of full software development life cycle.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience building applications using an AWS-native, service-oriented architecture (for example using RDS, Lambdas, IAM Roles, S3, EKS)

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
