Job description

Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a Small Business Enterprise specializing in providing IT Consulting and Staffing Solutions. They are seeking a Jira System Administrator who will be the technical owner of Jira, ensuring its optimal performance and providing support to various users.
Responsibilities:
• Will be the technical owner of Jira.
• Will responsible for ensuring that Jira is running and performing optimally at all times.
• Will also be working with various users of the system on front-end configurations and support.
• Must be naturally curious and like to solve problems.
• Technical System Administrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jira
• Manage system performance, network connectivity and maintain operability
• Trouble-shoot and resolve issues
• Perform version upgrades and install patches
• Design and implement workflows and system configurations
• Evaluate, make recommendations and manage various plug-ins and APIs
• Work with end-users on front-end configuration
• Align with the PMO on processes and standards
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3-5+ years of years as Jira System Administrator
• Experience managing both cloud and on-prem instances of Jira
• Experience working in IT Operations
• Front End development (Java, Web Services, APIs)
• Java or Javascript experience
• REST API's a plus.
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Experience managing dev/test/prod environments
• Experience performing Level 2 and Level 3 support functions
• Solid understanding of Agile principles project management methodologies
• MUST be an Excellent Communicator, who can call or visit colleagues to gather and provide information
