Job Description

Our tech startup client is building a video platform that brings together content creators, publishers, and end-users. The company has developed a fast, context-matching video player that is in use on several large web properties. The startup is rapidly growing, adding new clients, and continuously developing additional exciting platform functionality.

The tech startup is looking for a UI Developer to join the tech team.

As a UI Developer, you'll be working alongside other engineers and developers, with a focus on front-end development and interface design for their video platform.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the rest of the team to design, develop and launch new features for our video player and web platform along with other new projects.
  • Producing mockups for new product and feature ideas.
  • Owning your piece of the product - from initial conception, development, deployment and resolving post-release bugs.
  • Maintaining quality and proactively looking for ways to increase performance and reliability of the application.
  • Innovation! We are always looking for efficient new ways to solve problems as they arise.
Qualifications

What You Need for this Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Equivalent experience will be considered).
  • 3+ years of professional web application development experience.
  • Extensive front-end programming experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS, Vue.JS (or similar frameworks).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where we deploy to production multiple times a day.
  • Bonus points if experienced with any of the following:
  • Web video player development,
  • developing and consuming APIs,
  • Python,
  • Working with AWS services, (CloudFront, EC2, ECS, Lambda, Code Commit)
