As the Senior Project Coordinator, you will act as a key interface between the customer and the organization. His/her ability to maintain existing customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction is a key factor in providing customer satisfaction and increased profitability of future business.
What You Will Do:
  • Perform as the primary interface for dealer (customer) during project lifecycle.
  • Full responsibility for his/her assigned projects and authority to complete them from Order Entry to Project Close Out for project scope development, planning, execution, as defined in and management of departmental milestones and resources.
  • Create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives while following these objectives through to successful completion.
  • Manage as the primary point-of-contact for cross-functional multi-project team resources to ensure expectations of projects are delivered according to defined scope, committed timeline, and profitability.
  • Manage document control process or project lifecycle.
  • Effectively maintain project planning, milestone due dates and documentation.
  • Change Order Claim preparation and administration.
  • Review projects for accuracy and compliance to order/quote, PO, spec, and customer expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

What You Have (Basic Requirements):
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Planning: Tactical & Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Previous experience in handling multiple disciples; including engineering, sales and purchasing.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications (M2M experience highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of plat front-end scheduling, engineering, and manufacturing process and equipment cycle times.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project and business management principles, methods and techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and situations.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of assignment and provide dedicated customer satisfaction.

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
