Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Front Door Children's Social Worker for its client's Front Door Children's Social Work Team based in Powys. This is a full-time agency role offering 38.28 per hour (Umbrella), providing an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced safeguarding service and make a real difference to children and families.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Social Worker to join the Front Door Children's Social Work Team in Powys. The successful candidate will play a key role in screening contacts and referrals, assessing risk and need, and making timely decisions to ensure children receive the right support and safeguarding interventions.

Previous Front Door or MASH experience is desirable; however, candidates with strong safeguarding, assessment, and decision-making experience within Children's Services are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Screening and assessing contacts and referrals received by the Front Door Team
  • Making informed threshold decisions and determining appropriate interventions
  • Assessing risk and safeguarding concerns to ensure children are protected
  • Completing high-quality and timely assessments in line with statutory guidance and local procedures
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to gather information and coordinate effective support
  • Providing professional advice and guidance regarding safeguarding concerns and thresholds
  • Managing a complex caseload while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Preparing clear, evidence-based reports and assessments
  • Promoting positive outcomes for children and families through relationship-based practice and multi-agency working

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Social Care Wales registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk-management skills
  • Front Door/MASH experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced safeguarding team
